Egg Sucker

This one was designed for a robot Easter egg hunt held at
the Seattle Robotics Society meeting in April 2007.
It is a Vex platform with a bulldozer blade on the front
and a vacuum on top for sucking up plastic Easter eggs.
It would wander around floor at random sucking up eggs.
The first time we held this contest it didn't go so well for the Egg Sucker. Early in the contest the vacuum motor burned up, smoking the place up pretty good. Watch the video on YouTube. We held the contest again latter that year and with a new motor it actually won! |
