The computer is a Motorola 68hc11
e1 with 512 bytes RAM, and 512 bytes EEPROM, on a BotBoard.
Driven by two large stepper motors.
It has no sensors, all it knows is what it sends to the motors.
Thumper's EEPROM contains turtle graphics routines; forward, backward,
right turn, left turn, and pause.
This allows simple turtle programs to be loaded and run from RAM.
The EEPROM also includes a program for the dead reckoning contest,
and the robot art contest, that used to be held by the
Seattle Robotics Society.
